Idaho’s Richest Person

So if you haven’t noticed, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk keep competing for the title of richest person in the world, but who is the richest person in Idaho?

Before googling, I decided to make my own guesses. My theory was simple. It had to be someone involved in Simplot, Albertson’s, or Micron. Wrong-o. Idaho’s richest person, according to USA Today, is actually Frank VanderSloot, the founder of pharmaceutical company Melaleuca at a whopping $4.3 billion. Also, he resides in Idaho Falls. Heck, with that kind of dough he could OWN Idaho Falls. He’s made his money in a pretty quick time too as he only started the company in 1985. His company also reports a $2 billion revenue each year, so he’s certainly not losing any money anytime soon. Now while most people will never see that kind of money in their life, it makes me wonder….how do I get invited to the next family BBQ? They gotta be serving wagyu steaks, right?!
